Bosco Marano, Bosco Mezzana and Parco Riconi are all crossed by paths and characterized by the presence of waterways. The wooded areas of the territory of Volturino are characterized by the prevalence of Turkey oaks and oaks and by the bushes of wild plum, hawthorn, rosehip and goatskin.
Among the animal species present many mammals, such as wild boar and fox. The presence of birds is also variegated, such as the woodpecker, the wood pigeon, the hoopoe. Nourished in the avifauna the presence of both diurnal and nocturnal raptors.
The thick undergrowth and the presence of several springs, allow the presence of reptiles and amphibians.
