Information
Built in 1734 in travertine marble at the behest of Charles III of Bourbon, its function was related to the activities of changing horses of the nearby post office, whose main entrance is only a few meters away.
Finely structured as a large parallelepiped, it has at the base of the long tanks intended for the watering of horses and fed by cinnamon that come out from masks. Restored in 1836, and more recently in 2009, the fountain was adorned with a large coat of arms of the Kingdom of the Two Sicilies which unfortunately was stolen by an unknown man in 2001.
