Information
The fountain has Renaissance origins and was built outside the village to meet the water supply needs of the Delicetani. The source consists of a hexagonal block with a single collection tank always hexagonal. On each side of the hexagon gushes a jet of water; the six cannulas are fed by springs that descend from the above locations "Arena Cavata" and "Piloni"; beside the source there are a public wash and a water trough for animals.
The fountain was restored in 1868 and then equipped with a bronze statue from Apice Vecchio (BN), which was placed to crown the construction. The statue represents a female figure and holds with his right hand a laurel wreath, so in all probability it represents the Glory; in any case it is called by the citizens “Maria Amalia”.
