Information
The Palazzo del Sedile was the place for the meetings of the feudal lord and the civil authorities, so it is a very widespread structure throughout the Viceroyalty of Naples. Called "Seggio", the structure of Rocchetta, dates back to the sixteenth century and is in the form of a beautiful porch consisting of two round arches, supported by massive columns in local stone and hand carved. This is where the feudal hearings were held.
The Poll was used as a customs gate and at the beginning of the twentieth century it became the employment office; finally in recent years it became the seat of the parish oratory and boy scouts.
In 2000 the seat was restored and regained its original structure.
Until a few decades ago inside the Seggio there were stone shapes used as units of measurement, which would also suggest a commercial use of the site.
