The desire and the will to pass on the historical and cultural memory of the country has been realized in the faithful reconstruction of the "Pagliaio", an ancient stone building and of conoidal shape, representative of the residential architecture of a civilization now extinct. The haystack is built in dry stone, in particular chianchètta, flat and squared stone and has a circular plan; in elevation it takes the form of a truncated cone, closed by a large stone slab, which served as a roof. The interior could be plastered with clay or light clay. This type of construction usually stood close to a slope and in part was incorporated in it, so that the shape of the environment was perceptible only from the inside; while from the outside was visible only a sort of convex wall, accompanied by an entrance door. Each haystack had a barnyard of its own relevance, as well as the custére or pannìzze, or shelters for animals.
