What perhaps arouses more emotions is offered by the ruin of Masseria Valmanella. The rustic building is set on a cliff between cultivated fields and forest, near the Royal Tratturo Castel di Sangro-Lucera. The farm consists of a low body with pitched roof; on a corner stands a cylindrical tower with the function of a dovecote. The architecture lends itself to enchanting photographs, but it is not open to visitors, as it is privately owned.
