Among these, the most likely to hit the visitor’s attention is Palazzo Cavalli, thanks to its elegant neoclassical façade. The majestic nineteenth-century building has a facade with two levels and orders: the ground floor has columns and Doric pilasters; the first floor decorative elements of the Ionic order. The first level is characterized by the use of stone, the second by plaster. The symmetry of the facade has as its fulcrum the entrance portal, framed by four Doric columns.
After the monumental entrance there is access to a large internal courtyard: on the bottom of it through three arches to reach the seventeenth-century staircase, which constituted the original entrance of the building. The staircase leads to a beautiful loggia embellished with figurative and bucranial elements, made more visible by a recent restoration.
The building houses on the ground floor an important library, testimony of the literary history of the Cavalli family, whose main representatives were lawyers, doctors, officers and state officials. The collection boasts 18th century parchments.
On the first floor the rooms decorated with frescoes have been hosting a B&B for several years.
