In fact, the installation of the works of the photographer Alessandro Tricarico dates back to 2019: 10 gigantografias scattered throughout the village and realized thanks to the project "Stritte art", funded by the Apulia Region for the program "Culture makes its way". The title of the project plays on the assonance between the English term "street"(street) and the dialectal adjective "stritte" (alley), which in Sant'Agata is then declined in the "trasonne": the characteristic steep alleys with steps.
The works of Tricarico, entitled by the author "Roots", are a tribute to the culture of small villages and slow life; they are perfectly restored to the mood of the small towns of the Apulian hinterland. The visitor of Sant'Agata then can walk around the village and run into flocks of sheep, lords who swing on a straw chair, elderly people who greet you by lifting the coppola or who indicate with a stick the way to some kid.
